Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Special Reporter: Under the RAINS Project, FAO Bangladesh, in collaboration with the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) and Agricultural Marketing (DAM), recently organized a multistakeholder soybean value chain workshop in Lakshmipur district.

The workshop brought together soybean producers, processors, agricultural and marketing officials from various levels, and key market stakeholders.
Important insights emerged in the discussion on various issues including production, processing, and market promotion of soybean. These discussions are expected to encourage more farmers to engage in soybean production and inspire greater consumption of nutritious soybean-based foods.

The SACP-RAINS project is being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) with technical assistance from #FAOBangladesh. It is funded by the Global Agriculture and Food Security Programme and supervised by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
