Responsibilities:

Back-Office Attachment:

• Develop, monitor, and evaluate agricultural information services for farmers. Maintain documentation for tests and technical reports. Collaborate with the marketing team to deploy, monitor, and assess farmer-focused services. Build knowledge partnerships with relevant agricultural organizations. Design, develop, and update training materials (modules, presentations, handouts) and conduct live demonstrations for crop-specific topics. Provide agricultural consultations (production technology, budgeting, pest identification, and solutions) to farmers in person, over the phone, and through video calls.

Front-Field Attachment:

• Serve as a reliable source of information for farmers in the field, delivering actionable knowledge on crop production, plant nutrition, pest and disease identification, and management methods.
• Disseminate agricultural innovations by organizing workshops and conducting seminars for farmers.
• Manage extension campaigns, organize farmer training sessions, and participate in field stands to streamline operations according to quarterly plans.
• Maintain communication and exchange information with local extension officers on relevant agricultural topics. Plan, lead, and execute commercial production of high-value crops, spices, and vegetables.

Requirements:

• Preferable 1 year of experience in agricultural extension, particularly in commercial production of high-value crops, spices, and vegetables (experience in Char land, coastal belts, or haor and wetland regions is a plus).
• Experience working with a startup or NGO is preferred.
• B.Sc in Agriculture from any UGC-approved university in Bangladesh (Bangladeshi Nationals Only).
• M.Sc in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Entomology, Plant Physiology, or Agricultural Extension is a plus.
• CGPA of at least 3.0 on a scale of 4.0.
• Excellent communication and extension support skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of precision technologies, digital agricultural tools, and climate-smart practices.
• Strong leadership skills and knowledge of corporate governance principles.
• Fluency in written, spoken, and read English and Bangla.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage diverse situations.
• Basic understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their targets.
• Open-minded, adaptable, and willing to learn and experiment within set boundaries.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a team environment.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally (on occasion).
