Special Reporter: Building on the Letter of Intent (LoI) signed between the Vice Chancellors of University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) and Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) on February 4, 2026, the first capacity-building session under this collaboration was held at the Main Library, UAF.
This Digital Literacy Skills session brought together faculty and students from GCWUF and the Faculty of Sciences, UAF — marking a tangible first step in turning institutional partnership into real academic impact. Participants explored the difference between everyday Google searches and the power of authenticated, peer-reviewed research available through the HEC Digital Library.
With hands-on training in advanced search strategies on ScienceDirect — one of the world’s leading academic databases — attendees gained practical skills in identifying credible, high-impact literature that truly elevates the quality of their theses and research projects.
The session was followed by a tour of the Digital Library, CSS Corner, and SAARC Agriculture Center (SAC) Book Corner. The visit left participants with both new skills and a deeper appreciation of the rich research resources available to them.
